Welcome, and thank you for visiting Jessica Natalie Photography! The art of photography has always been a part of my life, so naturally, I chose to make it my career. I attended Ventura Collage where I earned a degree in Art & Design. For more than 20 years, I have been putting my passion to work as a professional photographer and I have the privilege of saying that I love what I do!
Photography is an art form that allows me to capture the beauty of truth in the most monumental times of my clients’ lives, and I would be honored to share this experience with you. I specialize in maternity photography, newborn photography, and baby photography for clients throughout all of Southern California, including San Diego, Los Angeles, and surrounding areas.

Creativity and Imagination
Photography, for all intents and purposes, is a form of art. Therefore, it requires a creative mind—and plenty of imagination. A good photographer must be able to look at something ordinary, or even extraordinary, and find a million different ways to interpret what he’s seeing and convey those interpretations in beautiful and meaningful photos.
An Eye for Detail
I’m a firm believer in the power of photographing details. Take a particular scenario… let’s say you walk into a restaurant. It’s busy, packed with people, and perhaps a little on the noisy side, even.
You have just been told by the staff that it’s a 30-minute wait for a table and you have seconds to make up your mind. You take another glance at the buzzing scene before you and decide you like the feel of the place so you wait patiently in the queue. And then you ponder why….what made you stay?
Photography
The best thing about being an aspiring photographer is that you are free to explore virtually all types of photography there are. Fashion, photojournalism, sports, events—armed with a camera, you can try it all out and improve your skill at the same time.
But as you gain more experience, you’ll find that it’s hard to master a specific style if you don’t stick to it. In fact, it may be the very thing that could be holding you back from being successful in a particular niche. For me, I found my passion eventually, capturing bonds.
